Sobczak, Edward "Ed" passed away on November 23, 2016 at the age of 70 years. He was preceded in death by parents Regina and Stephen Sobczak and late wife Karen Phinney Sobczak. He is survived by his children, Kristine (Peter) Gross and Daniel (Theresa); brother, Conrad (Marianne); and companion, Linda Preisinger. Grandpa to Selina and Samantha Powel and Joshua and Abygail Sobczak, great grandfather to Tatum Powel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. During his life he served as a police officer for the City of Cudahy for 27 years, librarian for Cudahy, and a Security Officer for St. Luke's South Shore Aurora. After retiring his hobbies included traveling by train, plane, and ship around the globe. He also enjoyed learning and continued his education in the form of post graduate studies. Funeral service at Sts. Peter & Paul Polish National Catholic Church (1308 15th Ave., South Milwaukee) on Tuesday at 11:00AM. Visitation on Tuesday at church from 10:00AM-11:00AM. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Ed may be made to your local library.
