Mr. John Thomas (Tommie) Hill, 72, Athens Rt.4, died 4:25 am Monday at ALH. Funeral services were 2pm yesterday at Tanner Methodist Church with Kenneth Bishop officiating. Burial was in Limestone Memorial Gardens, Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hill was a lifelong resident of Limestone County and a member of the Tanner Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary,; one daugher, Mrs. Robert L. Buckham of Nashville, TN; four sons, Max Earl, Orville, Bill and John Thomas Hill, Jr., all of Athens; one siser Mrs Billy White of Elkmont Rt.3; three brothers Rollie of Athens, Pete of Marvell,Ark, and Boss of Elkmont; one step-brother Thomas Nunley of Elkmont; eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John W. Stewart, AW Moyers, Harold Ferguson, Joe Murphy, WA Owens Jr., and Leonard Moyers.
