Mrs. J. D. Towner
Lynnville, Tenn., Dec. 31-(Special)-Mrs. J. D. Towner, 87, wife of the late Captain Towner who was buried here last week, Mrs. Towner had been in feeble health for several months. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Dean Stroud and Elder K. C. Spaulding.
Mrs. Towner belonged to one of the pioneer families of Giles county and was prominently connected. She is survived by one son, Dr. Justin Towner of Memphis, two grandchildren, Mrs. James Winn of Nashville and Justin Towner Jr., of Birmingham, also by several nephews and nieces.
