Della A. Golata, age 95, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, formerly of 2821 Wagon Wheel Road, Manitowoc, died on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Shady Lanes.
She was born on Jan 7, 1915 in the town of Newton, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Klingeisen) Fischer. On Oct 12, 1940, she married Faris Otto at St. Andrew Catholic Church. On June 24, 1967, she married Joseph J. Golata at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Della was a delivery driver for 19 years for the Herald Times Reporter and also an Avon representative for 19 years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
Survivors include a brother-in-law; John Golata and his wife, Beth, Morton Grove, Ill.; and a sister-in-law Dorothy Poradek, Manitowoc; Della is further survived by nieces, nephews ,cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; a brother-in-law: Robert Poradek; and a sister-in-law; Emily Otto.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 until 10:45 a.m.
