Death Takes Dr. Hamilton, TB Physician
Dr. James Lonnie Hamilton, age 64, Hilltop Circle, died unexpectedly yesterday at 2:30 p.m. He was a native of Russellville, Dr. Hamilton had resided in Gadsden for the past nine years while he served as a physician and medical director of District IV TB Hospital. A former resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, he was a veteran of World War I and World World II and a member of Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter. He was a graduate of Vanderbilt University Medical School in 1924. Funeral today 4 p.m. Episcopal Church and burial Forrest Cemetery. Dr. Hamilton is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Sober Hamilton; 3 daughters and a son all of Gadsden; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; 2 half-sisters and 3 half-brothers.
