William Roy Long, 91, passed away after a long illness on Sept. 23, 2013, at the Ponce Center in St. Augustine, Fla. Bill was born in Schuylkill, Pa., on April 12, 1922. He is survived by his wife Donna; his daughter Cyd (Mark) Acker; three grandsons, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania. Bill was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, a member of The Brotherhood of St. Andrew and the church food pantry. He was also active with the "Meals on Wheels" program. He will be missed by his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2013, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park ( www.craigfuneralhome.com) is in charge of arrangements.
