Alan Pierce Shewmaker, 70, of Atlanta, Ga., husband of Grace
Limehouse Shewmaker (formerly of Summerville), died October 12, 2002,
in Atlanta. Funeral services will be held at Parks Funeral Home
Chapel, Tuesday morning, October 15, 2002, at 10 o'clock. Burial will
be in White Church Cemetery. Friends may call at PARKS FUNERAL HOME,
Summerville, S.C., this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be

29204. Mr. Shewmaker was born February 7, 1932, in Danville, Ky., a
son of the late Richard P. Shewmaker and Valaria Sims Shewmaker. He
was a graduate of Auburn University and a retired Aeronautical
Engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Limehouse Shewmaker, a daughter,
Karen Latta, two sons, Chris Shewmaker and daughter-in-law, Lynn
Shewmaker and Craig Shewmaker and daughter-in-law, Sonya Shewmaker,
all of Atlanta, Ga., a nephew, Richard P. Shewmaker, III, of
Harrodsburg, Ky., and seven grandchildren.
