Arlene Ruth Roberson of St. Louis, Michigan, age 91, died on November 12, 2013, at Caretel Inns of Linden. She was born in Jasper Township, Midland County, on December 12, 1921, to the late Stephen and Ella (Beard) Alspaugh. She married Loyd Ernest "Robbie" Roberson on March 27, 1943, in Elwell, MI.
Alrene was a lapidarist and enjoyed traveling, sewing, crocheting, and was an avid Tiger baseball fan.
She is survived by two sons, Ron Roberson of Grand Haven, MI and Rodney Roberson of Linden, MI; also surviving are her granddaughter, Misty McGee of Clarkston, MI; five great grandchildren; and siblings, Bea and Howard Galloway of Alma, MI, Marv and Sharon Alspaugh of St. Ignace, MI, and Doris King.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Roberson, on September 21, 2012; her grandson, Shane Roberson; and siblings, Ilah Alspaugh, Erma Jacobs, and Ray Alspaugh.
Per Arlene's wishes, Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Louis United Methodist Church, 116 S. Franklin St., St. Louis MI on November 20, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Terri Bentley officiating. Arlene and Loyd will be Laid to Rest together at the Oak Grove Cemetery, in St. Louis, Michigan in the Spring of 2014. Arrangements made with Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
