Rev. Gary Lee Hartley
Rev. Gary Lee Hartley, 65, of Rossville, died Thursday, August 21, 2003 in a local hospital.

A loving husband and devoted father, Rev. Hartley was a native of Patoka, Indiana, but had spent the greater part of his life in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas. He was a 1956 graduate of Princeton High School and a graduate of Tennessee Temple Bible School and College in 1963. Following his college graduation, Rev. Hartley pastored many churches in Indiana before returning to Tennessee Temple to begin a teaching career. He truly loved teaching the Bible and serving as Dean of Men for several years. At the time of his death, Rev. Hartley attended Oakwood Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ethel Hartley, and sister, Shirley Jean Weir.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, two sons, and two daughters, one brother, and one sister, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. (names of living were removed prior to posting).

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Dr. Darrell Henry officiating.

Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5–8 p.m. and Sunday from 2–4 and 6–8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, Rossville.
