Mona Merele Hansen, of Chandler, Arizona, went peacefully to her Lord
on August 3, 2007, at the age of 89. Born and raised in Iowa, Mona moved with her husband and son to Arizona in the late 1950's. She spent her working life as a restaurant owner/ manager and retired as a well-respected Deli and Catering Manager with Bashas'. She was known as an active volunteer and was a beloved member of Chandler United Methodist Church. Widowed in 1987, Mona is survived by her son, William C. Hansen, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, Arizona, 85014. A celebration of Mona's life will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 2:00pm at Chandler United Methodist Church at 251 E. Chandler Boulevard, Chandler, Arizona.
