Mildred R. Beckwith, formerly of Palmer, died Monday, October 13, 1997 in Mary Lyon Nursing Home, Hampden, MA.
Born in Waymart, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Anna Beckwith.She previously lived in New York State before moving to Palmer many years ago. She also lived in Springfield for many years. She was a graduate of Waymart High School in 1933 as a salutatorian. She was employed at the Scintilla Factory in Binghamton, NY. As an inspector for 20 years and as a secretary at Delhi Technical College in Delhi, NY. before retiring. She was a former member of Grace Baptist Church in Springfield, MA. Surviving are cousins in PA; and her friends David and Roberta Burgess,Monson, MA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Beckwith, in 1965.
