JAMES FRANKLIN GOINS, 65, of Crisfield and formerly of Stuart, Virginia, died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Stuart, he was a son of the late Frank and Lena Bowman Goins. He had been a resident of Crisfield for the past 10 years.
He was a truck driver, driving for over 20 years and for Perdue since 1997. He truly loved his job and also enjoyed classic cars.
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Louise "Trish" Goins, whom he affectionately called "Punkin", and her mother, Sherry L. Goins, both of Crisfield; two sons, Ronald Grayson Goins and his wife Angela of Lowgap, North Carolina and James Tracy Goins and his wife Lisa of Stuart, and their mother, Polly Goins of Stuart; six grandchildren, Grayce Goins, Taylor Goins, Madison Goins, Jordan Williams, Devin Goins and Cari Goins; a sister, Marie Hooker of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; three brothers, Moir Goins of Stuart, Roger Goins of Clarksville, Tennessee and Mike Goins of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant brothers.
Funeral services in Crisfield will be held Wednesday evening, September 19, 2007 at 7 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Services in Stuart, Virginia will be held Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 11 AM at Moody Funeral Home. Friends may call Friday evening from 7-9 PM. The Rev. Samuel Horner will officiate both services. Interment will be in Red Bank Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Claudville, Virginia.
