Mrs. L. Pearl (Deardorff) Branthaver, 75, of 213 S. Allison St., died Sunday evening at her home. She had been in failing health for 7 1/2 years.

She was born in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Jacob W. and Charlotte (Wildeson) Deardorff. She was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ and the Omwake Bible Class, Greencastle. In her early life, she was a member of the Grindstone Hill Lutheran Church and played the organ for the Sunday School. She transferred her membership to the Greencastle church in 1938.

Mrs. Branthaver and her husband, Milton E. Branthaver, celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on Christmas of last year. The husband recalled that his wife had requested that grace be said at their wedding dinner and that grace has been said in their home at every meal since that time.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons and two daughters, Garnet M. Branthaver, Waynesboro; Luther F. Branthaver, Baltimore; Mrs. Frances Ebersole, Hagerstown, and Mrs. Donald Davis, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; sisters; Mrs. Howard Spangler, Chambersburg R.D. 5, and Mrs. Henry Good, Waynesboro.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Zimmerman Fineral Home, Greencastle, in charge of the Rev. Luther G. Heist Jr. Burial will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
