Mike Abner passed away after a brief illness on September 21, 2015. Mike was born in Dallas on December 12, 1959. Growing up in Farmers Branch Mike attended Mary Immaculate School and RL Turner High School. He enjoyed participating in sports and especially enjoyed playing baseball with his neighborhood pals.

Mike had a 28 year career at Nationmark Distribution where he made many lifelong friends. For the past 9 years Mike has worked for Fed Ex most recently at the Alliance Airport facility. During Mike’s short illness the outpouring of love, support and concern spoke volumes of the man Mike was in the eyes of his co-workers. Mike was an active member of the Cornerstone Church in Carrollton Texas where his greatest source of pride was attending Sunday service with his grandson Rylan. He was a devoted family man. Mike is survived by his wife Becky Moore, son Chris Abner, stepdaughter Erika Moore, mother, Anna Abner, father, Ray Abner, sisters, Diane Abner, Stacie Abner, Stephanie Smits (Patrick), two grandson’s Zachary and Rylan, and nieces and nephews that love Uncle Mike. Mike is proceeded in death by his sister Michelle Williams and granddaughter Tamra.
