Vesta I. Champlin age 85, Ridgeway, MO., passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the Indian Hills Care Facility, Chillicothe, MO. Vesta was born to Joe and Ethel (Stewart) Lobba on February 28, 1922 on the farm N.E. of Ridgeway, MO.
She graduated from Ridgeway R-V School. She was married to Gilbert Champlin in 1942. They farmed and raised their family in Ridgeway. Vesta was a member of the Ridgeway Methodist Church, Hobby Club, Buckley Chapel Ladies Aid, and Willing Workers.
Preceded in death by: Parents, Husband, Gilbert, Son, Larry Joe, Sisters, Audra Dodson, Claudine Crouse and Leta Camp, and Brother, Johnny Lyle.
Survivors: Daughter, Jeanne and husband Jim Weller, Ridgeway, Mo. Sisters, Ivel Provin, Joyce Burdett, and Bonnie Bayless. Grandchildren, Josh Weller, Jolie Fitzpatrick, and Jesse Weller and wife Becky. Great grandchildren, Anna, Sarah, Caeleb and Maesen.
