Ina Faye Hodges (Ball/Peterson), left this earthly life for eternity on April 19, 2020. Faye as she was known, was born August 12,1927 in Kokomo, Mississippi to Wilford and Mamie Ball. She lived her early years in Mississippi, moving to Arizona after high school settling in Mesa working as a telephone operator. Eventually, she moved to Provo, Utah where she met and married Ronald Peterson and had 2 sons. Widowed at 28, she returned to Arizona where she met and married William Allen Hodges. They had five children together. Faye returned to work as a telephone operator at St. Joseph's Hospital in 1969. She lovingly raised her children. Faye was a dedicated mother watching her children's ball games, and could be heard cheering them on from a folding chair nearby. She never took time to gossip or speak negative of anyone. Faye provided comfort and security to her children setting an example of gratitude, positivity, and hard work, all while she maintained her faith -especially during her greatest trials. After 25 years at St. Joseph's hospital, she retired. She enjoyed hiking, but most of her time was spent with family. Her cheers continued at games and concerts for her grandchildren, and in service of Heavenly Father, including serving a stake mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Faye is preceded in death by her Parents, her siblings, Edward, David, Edith, and Dwight, her husband Ronald Peterson and their sons, Ronald Christian and Michael Homer. She is survived by her brother Charles LaRue Ball and sister, Donnis Plumb, her children, Laura Belle (John Garcia), Rebecca Faye (Miller), William Allen Jr., Thomas Hamilton (Alicia Schneider) and Charlotte Ann (Shane Rowe), 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and one great grandchild on the way.
