In addition her beloved husband of 66 years, John, Cecilia was also preceded in death by both parents and her siblings: Casimer Walczak, Martha Fryt, Victoria Sietz, Josephine Havens, Elizabeth Meisner and Sophie Lefere.
Cecilia is survived by three sons: John (Michelle) Olinyk Jr., Mark (Wendy) Olinyk, Matthew (Tina) Olinyk, three daughters: Kathy (Galen) Schultz, Sandy (Rick) Kalmbach, Diane Jones, numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
Cecilia was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Albion. She loved puzzles, Bingo, gardening and knitting, crafting many Afghans for her family and grandchildren over the years. Coming from a big family, she and her late husband, John always enjoyed going to big family gatherings and family weddings where they would dance the Grand March and Polka. She also loved cooking and was especially remembered for her chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles, pierogies, cabbage rolls and sweet raisin bread.
A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior to the service at St. John Catholic Church, 1020 Irwin Avenue, Albion with Father Craig Lusk officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Albion.
The family is being served by J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, Albion.
