Private Henry Bailey was just 20 when he died by accident.
He was taken by train from Mahsemah to the Egyptian Government Hospital Zagazig and found dead on arrival.
A Court of Enquiry was held and after all the evidence was gathered the opinion was that he died from a fracture to the base of the skull which could have occured by falling from a horse or violent contact with a solid body.
Henry was born Congresbury North Somerset moved to Wales around 1900
married in 1915 at Cardiff to Gladys May Bishop.
