Joyce Elaine Eckhoff, age 82, was born October 29, 1937, in Brush, Colorado to John and Lydia Dietz. She went home to Jesus on September 20, 2020. She married Arthur Paul βBuzβ Eckhoff, moving to Oklahoma where they started Artβs Decorative Brick and Cement Company. They found their βhomeβ with the people they loved, when they moved to Minco, OK in 1976, building and operating the A&B Quick Stop Grocery. Joyce knew she was home when she crossed the river.
One of her greatest joys was teaching her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren the song, βYou are my Sunshineβ, as they were truly her sunshine.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Richard. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Barrett and her husband, David, daughter, Lois Starkey, son-in-law, Don Starkey, grandchildren, Elaine Barrett, Michael Barrett and wife, Chris, great grandchildren Mikey Barrett and fiancΓ© Lexus Valle and Kacie LaPorte, great-great grandchild, Brinleigh Barrett, βgrandchildren by heartβ, Billy Watters, Eddie Rice, Jacy Watters, Jonathan Pettenridge and Chey Pettenridge. She is also survived by sister, Marilyn Newton, brother, Gary Dietz, sister-in-law, Jeanie Dietz and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Mustang Christian Church, 1313 W. SH 152, Mustang, OK. Joyceβs love for her family will truly be missed. Sheβll be held close in the hearts of her loved ones.
