Carolyn M. (Schwandt) On Saturday, September 26, 2020, Carolyn M. (Schwandt) Carlson passed away at age 79. Carolyn was born at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, MN to Elphie and Roswell Schwandt. Carolyn and her mother lived in San Diego when her father was deployed in the Navy during WWII. They came back to MN and lived at 38th and Chicago. She went to school at Bancroft Elementary, Bryant Junior High School, Washburn High School (1959) and Evangel College. Her family owned a women's clothing store named Carolyn's Fashions that she worked at. On August 17, 1963, she married Willard Carlson. They had 3 children. She had a catering business and worked for LifeTouch Church Directories. She loved people and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Carolyn loved to travel, volunteer at church, cook and spend time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband, Willard Carlson; three children, Nicole (Dr. Travis) Schmitt, Chantel (Westley) Footh and Ian (Amy) Carlson; 10 grandchildren; sister, Candy (Dr. David) Elrod and brother, Armond (Sue) Schwandt. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 4-6 PM at Werness Brothers Chapel, 2300 W. Old Shakopee Rd., Bloomington, MN. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 10 AM at Werness Brothers Chapel with visitation one hour before service.
