Adolph was the middle of three children born to Adam and Anna Zuk Obodowsky, immigrants from Russia. Adolph was born in Marquette, Michigan, but they made their home in Sheboygan, Sheboygan Co., Wisconsin and raised their children there.
In 1940, all three children were still at home, John W. 24yrs, Adolph 23 yrs and Mary 21 yrs. All three children completed school through the eighth grade. In 1940, Adolph was working as a laborer in the scrap iron business.
In the 1950 Census, Adolph had married Margaret I, of Minnesota. The couple was living in Milwaukee, in the Trubuilt Trailertown, Trailer Camp. Adolph was a truck driver for a local freight carrier. Margaret was a waitress in a local restaurant. They had a son, Richard W. born in 1943. He married Lucille (1941-2012) and they lived in Waukesha, WI.
