She was born in Salamonia on February 26, 1933 the daughter of Bernard and Ada (Hathaway) Chew.
She was married on October 24, 1951 to John Bright who survives.
Barbara was retired from First National Bank and also had worked in the Assesors Office. She was a 1951 Madison High School graduate, member of Church of the Bretheren.
Surviving are her husband John, one son Bill Bright of Fresno, CA., three daughters Diana Jobe (husband Joe) of Portland, Bonnie Sabo (husband Mike) of Novi, MI and Rebecca Thornburg (husband Steve) of Portland,
Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren
Private funeral services will be held in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve McClung presiding.
Burial will be in the Salamonia Cemetery.
