Andrew "Andy" Pitte, 87, of Dana, died Monday evening, Aug. 20, at Heritage Manor in Minonk.
Mr. Pitte was born Jan. 6, 1920, in Streator, to Joseph and Mary (Yurchak) Pitte.
He married Irma Fleuch on Jan. 26, 1952. She died Feb. 1, 1992.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Naval Reserve.
He retired from Anthony Manufacturing in Streator in 1980. He was a member of American Legion Post 766 in Bradley and St. Anthony Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Kay (Mike) Traver of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Vicki Lynn (Phil) Jones of Minonk; a son, Larry of Lexington, N.C.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Amil, Charles, Albert, August, Rudy, Emro and Aloise Pitte; and a sister, Margaret North.
