She was a Danish actress. She was the daughter of the Icelandic actress Stefania Gudmundsdóttir and was educated at the Royal Theater's student school in 1928 and made her debut as Maria the following year in Galgemanden. She was associated with the Royal Theater until her death in almost four years at Dagmarteatret and Folketeatret. She became particularly popular for her role as Gretchen in Faust. She married Poul Reumert in 1932 and from 1958 was a teacher at the Royal Theater's Student School. In 1941 she received Ingenio et arti. She died when an Icelandair plane crashed at Oslo Airport, Fornebu. In 1964, Reumert published Anna Borg's memoirs with a selection of her letters, diaries and tape recordings.
