Mrs. Tempa Elizabeth Holt
, aged 73 years, wife of N. B. Holt, died at about 9 o'clock Monday morning at her home in the Fifth ward from a complication of ailments, from which she had suffered about five months.

Mrs. Holt was born in Webster county, Missouri, but had been a resident of Galena over 50 years. In 1871 she was married to William Shaw, who died here in February, 1926. Her marriage to Mr. Holt dates from December 11, 1926. Besides her husband, Mrs. Holt is survived by four daughters, Mrs. O. R. Ryan and Mrs. Scott Blick, of Galena; Mrs. Ira Scott, of Weir City, and Mrs. Earl Childress, of Baxter.

The funeral was held from the Mission church in Empire Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Miles C. Cook and Rev. Lou Love. Interment was in Galena cemetery.

DIES AT HOME IN GALENA

Funeral services, for Mrs. Tempa Elizabeth Holt, 73 years old, wife of N. B. Holt of Galena, who died Sunday morning at her home, were held at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Mission Church in Galena Heights. The Rev. Miles Cook had charge of the services.

Burial was in the Galena cemetery.

Mrs. Holt was a native of Webster County, Missouri, and came to Galena more than fifty years ago.

Surviving are her husband, N. B. Holt; four daughters, Mrs. O. R. Ryan and Mrs. Scott Blick, both of Galena, Mrs. Ira Scott of Weir, Kan., and Mrs. Earl Childress of Baxter Springs; her mother, Mrs. Allie Amos of Phoenix, Ariz., a brother, John Welch of Douthat, Okla., a sister, Mrs. Della Moore of San Diego, Cal., and several grandchildren.
