Richard Craver
Richard Craver, age 23, a young father with a four-months old son, was killed Wednesday night shortly after 8:20 in an accident at the Carter-Waters Haydite plant a short distance northwest of Centerville.
He was one of three sons of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Craver of this city and a graduate of Centerville High School. His widow is the former Mary May Thomas, formerly of Knoxville. Richard and his wife and their four months old son who is Robert Anthony lived on what is known as the Strickler farm just south of the Rathbun Y on State Highway No. 60 north of Centerville.
There are two younger brothers of the deceased who are Donald and Gary, at home.
Richard was born in Centerville December 31, 1937 the son of Clyde and Margarette Buttel Craver.
He had attended schools here and graduated and only recently had gone to work at the Haydite plant.
Funeral services are planned for Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Johnson Funeral home and burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Rosary services will be held Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock from the Johnson Funeral Home.
