Hannah ELY was the first wife of my great grandfather Andrew Jackson FOSTER (1843-1911). They were both from central Pennsylvania. She married Andrew on June 22, 1865, in Altoona, Pennsylvania. She died in Denver, Colorado September 17, 1885. Her husband Andrew took her body back to Salina Kansas for burial. Hannah's original family was living in Salina at that time.

She was the daughter of Joseph K. and Anna ELY. Her father, Joseph K., was the first constable of Altoona, Pennsylvania.
