A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Hobe and Louise Edney Freeman. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Hal Freeman, and sister, Julia Ann Freeman.
Scott attended Edneyville High School and was employed by Cranston Print Works for 35 years. He was an avid hunter and apple farmer.
He is survived by his sons, Tony Freeman and wife, Maureen, and Jamie Freeman and wife, Laura of Edneyville; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Sydney, Sarah, Lila, Owen, Julia, Emily, Abby and Charlie; one niece; and two nephews.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 9, 2017 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Taylor officiating.
