Bernice (Bea) Harriet Craig was born January 18, 1918 in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from South High School and worked cleaning houses and babysitting during her high school years. On June 28, 1939 Bea married Charles A. Jenkins. Bea and Charles had two children - Charles Wayne (who was killed in Vietnam) and Judy Jo.
Bea became a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars June 7, 1967. She served many years as President and filled any office that needed to be filled and took on any chairmanship - even at the District level. Besides cats, the Ladies Auxiliary, Bea enjoyed Danish plates and Hummel figurines. Bea was a Gold Star Mother.
