Mrs. Ann Sieg died at the home of her son Ham Sieg, near Moberly, this county, last Saturday afternoon. Mrs. S. was a native of this county, having been born in the year the state capital was removed from Corydon to Indianapolis. During her life in the county, she saw vast forests cleared away and great strides in improvements. The deceased was a daughter of the late Dennis Pennington, who helped to make the early history of Harrison county; and was the widow of the late Henry Sieg. Mrs. Sieg was a lady of strong mind and possessed many noble attributes of character. Her remains were laid to rest at Pennington chapel burying ground last Monday in the presence of a wide circle of relatives and friends. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Morgan, of the Moberly M.E. church, and Rev. N. M. Rumbley. --The Corydon Republican (Coyrdon, Indiana); Thursday, 10 Mar 1904; pg. 8, col. 4
