I researched her ancestry in Pennsylvania. She was born in Pennsylvania, probably in Altoona, Blair County. She was the daughter of Joseph K. ELY(1812) and Ann(1820). She was the seventh of eight children. Her nickname was "Maggie." She is listed on the 1860 Census for Altoona, Blair County as "Junior ELY, age 1 month, born 1860."

On the 1930 Census she is listed as living with her son Raymond in San Diego, California.
