Mr. Everett McDowell, age 76, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
He was born July 1, 1944, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Harry and Ollie Burton McDowell.
Everett was of the Baptist faith and he was a life-long farmer. He loved deer hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Louise Romans McDowell; two children, Joseph McDowell and Lenore Fay McDowell; one grandson, Donald Matthew Bishop; one brother, Harry McDowell; and one sister, Kathy Caudill.
Everett is survived by three daughters, Tammy McDowell Claxon, Patricia McDowell Sullivan, and Rebecca Sue McDowell (Tim Barber), all of Grayson, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; expecting two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Wayne McDowell (Pam) of Illinois; and one sister, Carolyn McDowell Zornes (Greg) of Vanceburg, Kentucky. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020, in the Ison Cemetery on Old Fultz Road in Grayson, Kentucky.
