Obituary as printed in the Salem News October 15, 2020:

Sweet Josie Ann Abney was born on February 6, 2010 and spent her childhood in Salem, Missouri. Josie was a cute little redhead who was full of life and had an amazing personality. Josie was a ray of sunshine, beautiful inside and out, she always had a smile to share and was a blessing to all. Though she didn’t live many years on earth, she deeply touched the hearts of those who knew her.

Josie entered the arms of Jesus on October 3, 2020. She touched the lives of so many; our beloved, shining, happy girl, the light of our lives and the star of our hearts and leaves us smiling through our tears. She was joy personified. Josie leaves behind family, loving friends, and a caring community. She will be sorrowfully missed by all who knew her.

Graveside Services for Sweet Josie Ann Abney were held Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in the Cedar Grove Cemetery with Pastor Lyndell Decker and Diann Anderson officiating. Thank you to Salem’s First Responders for serving as Pallbearers. Arrangements were under the direction and care of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
