Many people will hear with regret of the death of Mr. G. Rae Fraser, at the age of 68 years. Deceased, who had suffered a good deal of late, passed away at his residence, Piggott's Manor, Letchmore Heath, Watford, on Friday last week. The funeral took place on Tuesday at Golder's Green Crematorium, where a short service was held. It was attended by a large number of relatives and sympathising friends. Amongst those present were Mr. C. F. Batteock (Chalvey Park), and Mr. G. Rolph, who for many years was in deceased's employ. Mr. Rae Fraser was a member of a most successful firm of chartered accountants carrying on business in Copthall Avenue from which he retired some years ago. About thirteen years ago deceased came from Hampstead to Slough and took up their residence at. Tower House, and for some seven years, until their removal to Watford. the family took an active interest in , all the affairs of the town. Mr. Rae Fraser was of a kindly and genial disposition, and was a most liberal contributor to the various institutions in Slough. He was also president of the Slough branch of the Liberal Association, and was one of its staunchest supporters Although not a public speaker, he took a keen interest in politics, and was always found on the platform at the Liberal at the Liberal meetings held in the district. The family was much missed in many quarters when it left Slough, and Miss RA. Fraser will long be remembered as a brilliant elocutionist. Mr. Rae Fraser was a Justice of the Peace for Bucks, and was a regular attendant at the Slough Bench even after he left. the town. The last occasion on which he discharged his magisterial duties was about two months ago. Magisterial Reference. At the Slough Petty Sessions on Wednesday, the Chairman (Mr. J. Hartopp Nash) said before they proceeded with the business of the day, he wished to express on behalf of his brother magistrates present, and on his' own behalf, their sense of the deep loss which they had which they had sustained by the death of their colleague, Mr. Rae Fraser. He was in every way an upright and capable magistrate as well as a kindly and estimable man. He was held in the highest esteem by all his brother magistrates, who sincerely mourned his death. They wished also to express their deep sympathy with Mrs. Fraser and the family in the sad lass they had sustained, and he asked Mr. Charsley to kindly convey those sentiments to Mrs. Rae Fraser
