PORT CHARLOTTE, FL/FONTANA - Charles T. "Corky" Rossmiller, 78, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Fontana, WI, passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, in Port Charlotte. He was born on Nov. 4, 1928, in Milwaukee, WI, son of Eugene and Estelle (Crumb) Rossmiller. Corky was owner of Rossmiller Music & Vending in Fontana before retiring and moving to Port Charlotte nine years ago. He attended Atwater Church of God and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. Rossmiller of Port Charlotte; his son, Steven Rossmiller of Fontana; his daughter, Jo Ellen (Douglas) Church of New Berlin, WI; his step-daughter, Theresa (Jim) Goodreau of Ocala, FL; his sisters, Betty Schulz and Joan (Dave) Woodrich, both of Walworth; his grandchildren, Dustin C. and Lea S. Church; his step-grandchildren, Stephanie Becker and Chris Way; and his step-great-grandchildren, Makayla and Adrianna Becker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary Jean Fuhrman; and his brother, Henry A. Rossmiller.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Toynton's Walworth Funeral Home, with Rev. James Mehltretter officiating. Burial will follow at Walworth Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at Toynton's Walworth Funeral Home.
