Larry Ellis Jackson of Marion, AR, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Baptist Memorial East Hospital, Memphis, TN. Larry was born February 10, 1946 to the late Ira and Thelma Jackson of Leachville, AR.

Larry is survived by Mittie Jackson, his beloved wife of 49 years; his "Darlins" and "Bubba" (three children): Michelle (Joe) Caracci of Wentzville, MO, Bryan (Kim) Jackson, of Marion, AR, and Angela (Stephen) Pardy, of West Memphis, AR; his "Little Darlins" (six granddaughters): Amanda Caracci (Joe Starke), Kassidy Pardy, Alex Pardy, Kersten Jackson, Alyssa "Bree" Pardy and Abby Jackson; three siblings: Jerry Jackson of Gosnell, AR, Steve (Terry) Jackson of Hot Springs, AR, and Joy Jackson of Leachville, AR; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, great-nieces and great-nephews, along with many friends whom he also considered family.

Larry grew up in Leachville, AR, attending Leachville High School; received his Associates Degree from Arkansas State University. He served in the Army Reserve until 1969. He had a rewarding career as an Arkansas State Trooper for 32 years, considering some of his co-workers his dearest friends.

More than anything else, Larry preferred to spend time with those he loved: his family and friends. They were his heart!

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 10:00-11:00am at First Baptist Church of Marion. Funeral service will be at 11:00am with burial immediately following at Crittenden Memorial Park.
