Amherst Bee Williamsville, NY newspaper June 10, 1886 OBITUARY: "Mr. James Armitage has been called to Cheektowaga the present week to attend the funeral of his brother Joseph, who died on Tuesday last, after an illness of a few days, from the effects of inflammation of the lungs, aged about 55 years. A wife and two children survive him. He was a farmer by occupation, and a most excellent citizen. The funeral occurs today. - Tonawanda Herald, of June 3."
