Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Bro. Tim Schnautz and Rev. Brad Harris officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery in Sailor Springs.
Mr. Hulsey was born March 2, 1919, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Jesse A. and Rosa (Hefti) Hulsey. He married Mary Frank in 1953. She survives.
He was a butcher.
Mr. Hulsey is survived by his wife, Mary Hulsey, of Sailor Springs; daughter, Joyce Hamilton and her husband, Allan, of House Springs, Mo.; son, Joseph Hulsey Jr. and his wife, Vera, of Old Monroe, Mo.; daughter, Deborah Miller, of Effingham; son-in-law, Ken Cohen, of O'Fallon, Mo.; brother, John Hulsey, of St. Louis, Mo.; twin sister, Mary Sipp, of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Margaret Milazzo, of Manchester, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Joseph Frederich; daughter, Cindy Cohen; five brothers; and six sisters.
