Death of Mrs. Fairbanks.
Mrs. E. J. Fairbanks passed away yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. E. Virgil, after a few days illness on account of old age, being nearly eighty years old. Mrs. Fairbanks was helpless but not seriously sick until Sunday when she was taken with a stroke of apoplexy.
The deceased was a resident of this state twenty-five years and is very known in Hall county having formerly been a resident of Doniphan. She leaves a number of grown children to mourn her loss. Those residing in this city are Mrs. S. E. Vergil, Mrs. John Trent and Mrs. E. M. Basy. Besides these she has a son residing in Gothenberg who arrived in the city on the noon train, a daughter in Michigan and a son in Pennsylvania.
The deceased was a member of the Christian church for the past sixty years and the funeral will be held from the Virgil home, 419 West 5th street, tomorrow morning at nine o'clock, Rev. Doward having charge of the services
