Altha Jane Pinson Abbott, 92, died at Life Care Center in Port Orchard, Washington on March 28, 2006. She was born on December 29, 1913 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Walter & Era (Lowe) Pinson. Altha married George Washington Roberts in Arkansas on September 1932. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1952.

Altha was a homemaker who loved to have flowers in her yard - even though she was blind and couldn't see them. She loved to sing old gospel hymns with her family and always had pets that she loved to spoil. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Port Orchard and a member of Gold Star Mothers and the American Legion in Oregon.

Surviving are son Ray (Meta) Roberts of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters Juanita Fay Roberts Anderson of Port Orchard, Marty (Martha) Era Roberts Lounsberry of Port Orchard, and Mary Ann Francis Andrews Samuelson Widen of Seattle; brother Walter Kelly Pinson of Bend, Oregon; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister Hildred Juanita Pinson May, granddaughter Suzan Roberts Schoneshack, and sister-in-law Nell Gresham Pinson.

Funeral service Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 10:00 am at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton at 11:30 am on April 5, 2006.
