Minnie Lee Batt, 87, a life long Jefferson County resident, she was born January 21, 1904, at Milo, to Orrin Strong Lee Jr. and Martha Ann White Lee. She was the tenth of eleven children. She passed away December 10, 1991 in Coltman, Idaho.
She married Morley B Batt in August 1921 in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1966. She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she served in Relief Society Presidency, as a Sunday school teacher and as a choir leader. She was very active in 4H program and received a pin for fifty five years of service. In 1990, she received the Distinguished Service Award, the highest 4H honor in the state. She loved helping people and was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Idaho Writers League.
Survivors include her sons, Melvin Lee Batt of Grant and James Lee Batt of Boise; one daughter, Lucille Martin of Idaho Falls; a brother, Perry Lee of Butte, Montana; a sister, Hazel Batt of Bountiful, Utah; eleven grandchildren; and thirty four great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, five brothers and five sisters. She was buried in the Ucon Cemetery.
