1st husband of Arlene Francis (Nee-Kazanjian) Gable. They were married November 27, 1935 in Manhattan, New York City, New York and were divorced July 1945. Neil was a film producer and executive who worked for Paramount and Twentieth Century Fox. The son of Angus James Agnew and Amelia Mildred "Millie" Sullivan. His parents were both natives of Ontario, Canada. Neil's father passed away when Neil was two years of age. Neil's mother, Amelia or Aurelia F. "Millie" Sullivan remarried after her husband's passing. Neil was married at least three times. His first wife was Helen (or Ellen) Johnston, and they were married October 18, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois. Helen was from Indiana. Neil's third marriage was to Henriette Viseux or Videux either on April 4, 1947 or February 12, 1949 in Southbury, Connecticut and were married until his passing at Massachusetts General Hospital. Death was attributed to carcinoma, a form of cancer. Neil and his wife, Henrietta Videux, resided at 181 East 73rd Street, New York City. Neil worked for Paramount as a booker and sales manager in Chicago and in Milwaukee between 1923 and 1929. In 1932 Neil was appointed west coast division manager. Later Neil worked for United Artists and David O. Selznick, film producer. He was a special assistant to the president of Republic Pictures in 1953. Neil was appointed chairman of the committee on film activities for the Defense Department in 1954. Neil Agnew became vice president of the Fred Astaire Dance Studios in 1955. Funeral services were conducted in the Frank E. Campbell Chapel, Madison Avenue at 81st in New York City.
