Billy's favorite hobby was fishing. Put him in a boat with a rod in his hands and he was fully content. He also loved taking cruises for his vacations. Other passions were the ups and downs of Baylor football over the years, big band music and WWII movies.
Billy is predeceased by his first wife, Beverly A. Collins; he is survived by his beloved wife, Edith M. Collins, his sons, James F. Collins and wife, Andi, and John N. Collins and wife, Katherine. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Hannah and Harrison Collins, and step-granddaughter, Bryn McCardle. He also leaves behind his stepchildren, Ernest Collins and wife, Marlys, Lana Hardy and husband, Mike, Judy Reyes, and Cheryl Losack and husband, Jerome, and numerous other step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with his family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Klein Funeral Home, Champions, where funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 27. A private interment will take place in Forest Park Cemetery, Shreveport, LA.
