Donna Marlene Parrish, 61, of Eagle, ID went home to be with her Heavenly Father on September 13th after a long illness with cancer.
Donna was born to Gilbert and Norma (Terry) Scott on November 27, 1945 in Fort Benton, Montana. She attended Fort Benton Schools and graduated from Dahl's Beauty College. She owned and operated a successful Beauty Salon in Fairfield, Montana and then moved to Lodi, California where she managed a Beauty Supply store for several years. After retiring, she moved to Eagle, Idaho where she lived the remainder of her life.
Donna married Gary Poor in 1961 and had three children, Scott Poor, Kellie Batista, and Grant Poor. After Gary and Donna divorced, she married Tom Trackwell and had Mandee Reiswig. After Tom and Donna divorced, she married Howard Parrish who was at her bedside at the time of her death.
Donna's most enjoyable times were spending time with her husband, children, eleven grandchildren and to great grandchildren. She loved rubbing her fingers through her family's hair, listening to music and doing the "chicken" dance to make her children laugh, camping at Elk Creek, taking long walks on Pismo Beach, decorating for all of the holidays and putting on awesome Easter egg hunts for her grandchildren, golfing, reading, a good bubble bath, her morning cappuccino, her daily Jumble puzzle and walking her dog Hannah in the foothills.
Donna survived by her husband, Howard Parrish, children Scott Poor of Boise, Kellie Batista of Meridian, Grant (Shelly) Poor of Fairfield, MT, Mandee (Brad) Reiswig of Lodi, CA and loved ones Robert Batista and Peggy Poor, her grandchildren: Brandon, Brittney, Tyler, Zachary, Ceciley, Brianne, Logan, Brooke, Kaylee, Peyton and Ashlee, and two great grandchildren, Taylor and Liam. Donna is also survived by her siblings; Dennis Scott of Lewistown, MT, Beverly (Arne) Pederson of Dutton, MT, Gary (Pat) Scott of Ballantine, MT, Rusty (Marilyn) Scott, Wesley (Margie) Scott, Merlyn (Stella) Scott, all of Fort Benton, MT and Sidney (Teresa) Scott of Portland, OR.
A memorial service will be held on September 15 at 1pm at Foothills Christian Church in Boise, Idaho. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bell Funeral Home.
