Moved here from Hutchinsen Cemetery in Oct. 1866; aged 23y. Unmarked grave in same plot as mother and sister.

He was the son of Levi D. and Eliza Sutton Lewis. He went as a musician in an Illinois regiment to the Mexican war, returned, and died in Springfield. (From Early Settlers of Sangamon County, Illinois, 1876, in the biography of his father.)
