Deloris J. Lichvar, 82 of Manns Choice, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 11th, 2013 from home.

She was born Monday, January 5th, 1931 at her family home in Everett, a daughter of the late George William Decker and Mary Ethel (Rohm) Decker.

On July 19th, 1958 she married Alex Lichvar who passed away on January 19th, 2001.

She is survived by their children,
Deanna L. Shaffer, and husband Max E. Shaffer, Jr., of Clearville
Mark A. Lichvar and wife Kathleen A. (Hudacik) Lichvar, of Buffalo Mills,
Allen k. Lichvar and wife Michelle K. (Swann) Lichvar, of Morgantown, WV

Six grandchildren,
Shane Shaffer and wife Alicia,
Heather Peck and husband Matthew,
Mikhaela Lichvar,
Alex Lichvar
Kenley Lichvar
Ronald Phipps, Jr., and wife Christy

And eight great grandchildren,
Rachael, Regan, Raley, Noah, Sydney, Kennedy, Isaac, and Elina.

She was preceded in passing away by two infant brothers and four sisters, Sylvia Cunard, Faye Simmons, Catherine “Cotty” Manges, and Helen Boyer.

Mrs. Lichvar was a long time member of the Everett Church of the Brethren where she was active with many Church events in her younger years. A graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1948, Deloris first worked as a Nurses Aid, and then was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her home and raising her family.

She was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113, the Fort Bedford VFW Post # 8333, and the Women of the Moose Bedford Chapter #1245. At home Deloris enjoyed relaxing with a cup of tea, baking apple dumplings with her daughter Deanna, watching the Lifetime Movie Network and her favorite television show NCIS - Naval Criminal Investigative Services, and from the eyes of a child, her six-year-old great grandson Isaac, “She was a good old girl while it lasted…” and will be missed for her dedicated and loving ways.
