Mr. Marvin J. Lester, 75, of 374 Bob-O-Link Dr,, Lexington, died Friday October 7, 1994 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Lexington. Born December 17, 1918 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Willie and Nora McMullins Lester. He was the husband of Mae Cummins Lester. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, a former mechanic for International Trucking in Lexington and a member of the Benton Baptist Church. Survivors, besides, his wife, include: one daughter, Carol Ann Reynolds, Lexington; one sister, Ophelia Kenney, Lexington; one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert D. and Morris Lester and two sisters, Minnie Kenziler and Mertie McGinnis. Funeral services for Mr. Lester were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 10, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Jerel M. Coffey officiating. Burial was in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Lexington. Pallbearers were J. L. Devine, Claude Devine, J. C. Catlett, Jeff Coulter, Ezra Tatum, Jr. and Henry Esker Tatum.
