Joy Lea Brumley Aduddell Peavler, age 87 of Edmond, OK was born April 9, 1933 in Choctaw, OK to Elmer Edwood and Hattie Ola Brumley. She went to her heavenly home on Oct. 18, after a lengthy illness.

Joy attended Choctaw schools 1st through 12th grades. She married Raymond Hoyt Aduddell February 18, 1950 in Choctaw. Joy served with Hoyt as a devoted Pastors wife. They served in 6 churches in Oklahoma from 1958-1993: First Baptist Church, Luther, OK; Crusaders Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK; First Baptist Church, Harrah, OK; Cameron Baptist Church, Lawton, OK; Olivet Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK and Wilmont Baptist Church, Oklahoma City. She was a member of Vintage Church in Edmond where her son, Mark, is pastor. She not only served her Lord as a good and faithful servant all these years, but she deeply loved her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Hoyt Aduddell, and her second husband Jim Peavler; her parents Elmer and Hattie Brumley, her brother Edward Brumley, a sister Edna Roberts, and a granddaughter Kristin Joy Wilson. Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family members, her 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Michelle Aduddell of Edmond, David and Jana Aduddell of Edmond, Mark and Amy Aduddell of Edmond; her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Phillip Copeland of Macomb, OK, and Debbie and Larry Wilson of Owasso, OK; also she had 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. And a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 22nd from 4-8pm, at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S. Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. A funeral service will be held at Baggerley Funeral Home Friday, Oct. 23rd, at 1pm with burial to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
