Obituary read: "Ill several months, Mrs. Martha Frances Cravens, 78, widow of Charles Cravens, died at 10:00 Monday, May 4, 1942, at home, 35 Bismark Street. A daughter of Presley Martin, she was born February 13, 1864, of Danville in Vermilion County. Mr. Cravens preceded her in about 14 years ago.
She leaves the following daughters: Mrs. J. E. Schaffer, Indianapolis; Mrs. R. H. Williams, Lafayette; Mrs. Roland Plunket, Indianapolis; and Mrs. A. B. Cook, Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Sons: Jesse, Villa Grove; Oliver and Presley, Danville, also survive.
The body is at Pape Memorial Funeral Home."
