Winton Weiser, 93, of New Florence, MO, died at 5 am on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, at the New Florence Nursing & Care Center in New Florence, MO.

Winton Eugene Weiser was born June 13, 1914, in Gore, MO, to Antone Rudolph Weiser and Mattie Belle McGee Weiser. Mr. Weiser married Evelyn Louise Schwarze in Hermann, MO, on Dec. 7, 1938. She preceded him in death on June 12, 2001. He worked many years as the Road Maintainer with the Montgomery Co. Highway Dept. and later worked at Montgomery Manufacturing as a press operator. He was a member of the Brush Creek Presbyterian Church; was one of the founders of the Community Club in Bellflower, MO; and was a member of the Montgomery Co. Old Thresher's Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed playing softball when he was younger as a member of the Buell, MO, team. He was very well known and a friend to everyone. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Weiser is survived by two daughters: Patsy Hesterberg and husband, Melvin, of New Florence, MO; and Karen Brinegar and husband, Bob, of Crane, MO; one son, Tony Weiser and wife, Evelyn, of Covington, GA; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; one sister-in-law, Delphia Weiser Phillips of Vandalia, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn Louise Schwarze Weiser; three brothers: Raymond, Vernon and Jack Weiser and one sister, Ruth Rodgers.

Funeral services were held at 10 am on Friday, Aug. 31st, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend John Brumagin officiated and interment was in the Bellflower Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4-8 pm on Thursday, August 30, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.
